Secure Shopping
The online shopping system used on this website is a PayPal verified shopping cart integrated with PayPal's secure online payments system. PayPal provide security information on their PayPal Data Security and Encryption page.
PayPal (Europe) S.á.r.l. & Cie, S.C.A. is licenced as a Luxembourg credit institution and is under the prudential supervision of the Luxembourg supervisory authority, the Commission de Surveillance du Secteur Financier. All credit card and debit card payments to Silver Mushroom are made to a PayPal Verified Business Account.
When an item is added to the shopping cart, the item and quantity are temporarily stored and the item price, any tax (if applicable), and delivery price are calculated and displayed. The item quantity can be adjusted (or the item deleted) and the customer is able to choose a delivery method and shipping zone.
When "Go to Payments" is selected, the price is displayed and the customer's address is collected. At this point there is no commitment to purchase an item. When "Continue" is selected, the item and quantity together with the calculated price and the customer's address are encrypted and passed from the shopping cart to PayPal but there is still no commitment to purchase.
The secure checkout process is handled entirely by PayPal. To conform with current UK legislation and international Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards, no credit card or debit card information is collected by or stored on this website.
If the delivery address is different from the customer's billing address, it must be entered in PayPal's checkout pages.
Note that to purchase goods, a PayPal account is optional. Payment can be made by credit card or debit card without the need to open a PayPal account.
PayPal is the payment method of choice amongst millions of online shoppers. Customers like paying with PayPal because they can shop securely without sharing their financial information with the retailer.
