Behind the From the Anvil Collection

Behind the From the Anvil Collection

Posted by Maisie Yerkess on

When seasons change, as do the things we take a little more care with in our homes. As winter nights get colder, we stack up firewood inside and our fireside companion sets come out of hibernation. As light evenings beacon, we pull out our walking boots more and narrowly avoid treading mud through the hallways. Nothing spoils a lovely walk like a 30 minute mud clean up. As evenings turn darker, we turn to warm lighting to keep us cosy. And this is exactly where our From the Anvil Collection comes in. The essence of this charming collection is beauty, function and organisation. But, what is From the Anvil? Allow us to reintroduce them.

From the Anvil - The Brand Story

From the Anvil Brand Story

As some of you may have read in our re-launch content, we moved away from branded products. But one or two important brands stuck around, and that’s because we believe in their brand, and truly believe that they are high-quality, timeless products that deserve to be in your home. From the Anvil is no exception to this.

From the Anvil began its journey back in 1996, when the founder designed his very own range of traditional, handmade ironmongery. Each product was individually, and thoughtfully crafted from solid steel, and hand forged on an anvil to give them unmatched durability and character. Four years later, the From the Anvil brand was launched, with their first 50 products. Since then, From the Anvil have grown into the incredible brand they are today, with a range of stunning products, from ironmongery to bespoke lighting.

With over 20 years of experience in the field, From the Anvil are specialist manufacturers of ironmongery, lighting and homeware, crafting products with a lifetime of durability. Most importantly, just like Silver Mushroom, From the Anvil are a family owned business that are passionate about the products they produce. And this is why their timeless products are simply a perfect fit.

What can you Find in our From the Anvil Collection?

Premium Bespoke Lighting

From their beautiful range, we hand-picked a selection of the ones that resonated with us and our brand. Whilst they range from vintage inspired aged brass finishes, to more modern colourways, we feel each and every piece would look beautiful in a country cottage, or farmhouse home. Whether they be traditional, modern, minimalistic or french inspired. The From the Anvil lighting is hand-crafted to order, ensuring maximum precision and the perfect finish each time. Because of this, there’s a short wait–time on each product. But remember, greatness takes time, and all good things are worth the wait.

From The Anvil Harborne Hammered Brass Pendant Light - Tump

Our From the Anvil lighting selection includes both wall light and pendant light offerings, each with matching alternatives to fully curate cohesive lighting features in your home. Within our beautiful wall light and pendant light collection, we took to solid brass, with three different finishes - aged, hammered and smooth. Whilst we love a traditional finish, we wanted to expand our From the Anvil lighting collection to something a little different from our other wall light and our pendant light collections. So we added a touch of colour. Whilst loud or bright colour doesn’t fall within Silver Mushroom styling, we love palettes inspired by nature and organic finishes. So, it only felt right that earthy green tump, soft white teasel and striking black soot became part of our collection. Each colour impressively contrasts with the high-quality spun brass.

Log Holders and Companion Sets

There’s something about From the Anvil that truly feels like cold evenings and cosy homes - in the best way possible. We secretly love the colder months here at Silver Mushroom, since we love nothing more than making the house warm, snuggly and inviting. And the key to that feeling - a well made fire. Hand-forged from solid steel, our From the Anvil Log Holders and Companion Sets are available in pewter and matte black finishes. Both equally eye-catching, but with a slightly different feel. With two different log holder designs, rectangle and curved, and two different companion set styles, spiral and arc, you can mix and match to create a hearth that completes your living space.

Welly Boot Racks

Having all grown up in the countryside, we understand the need for a good welly boot rack. And now having our own homes, we even more so understand the importance of not treading mud through the hallway. Just like our log holders and fireside companion sets, our welly boot racks are available in both pewter and matte black. Coming in sizes suitable for 4 or 6 pairs of boots, this gorgeous book rack is perfect for avid walkers and little wellies alike.

What’s Next?

Our love for the From the Anvil Collection only grows, and so with that, grows the collection. Our next additions to sit alongside the log holders, fireside companion sets and wall light and pendant light collections, will be ironmongery. Each of our collections throughout the website aim to guide your styling, and show you products that complement each other effortlessly. So it was a given that ironmongery would be the perfect addition, so that you can coordinate all the metal accents in your home. Brass looks even more strikingly beautiful when dotted around in lighting, handles, and doorknobs.

We can’t wait to expand the range and take you on the journey with us. But for now, explore our From the Anvil Collection. We hope you love it as much as we do.
