This might just be our all time favourite winter recipe on our blog this year. Mulled Apple Cider is the perfect drink for those chilly winter evenings, best paired with a chunky knitted jumper, cracking fire and good company. This recipe is a real life hug in a mug, it can even be made non-alcoholic for the whole family to enjoy, simply swap the cider for apple juice.

- 4.5 litres of Apple Cider
- 1/2 Cup Fresh or Frozen Cranberries
- 1 Orange, rind only
- 6 Cinnamon Sticks
- 3 Star Anise
- 2 tbsp Maple Syrup
- 1 tbsp All Spice
- 1 tbsp Vanilla Extract
- Orange Slices
- Apple Slices
- Cinnamon Sticks
- 1/2 Cup Brandy
- Add all of the ingredients to a large saucepan and bring to a simmer over a medium-high heat. Reduce heat to low and continue to simmer for 45 to 1 hour.
- Pour the cider into your glass or mug, garnish and serve.
