Mulled Apple Cider
This might just be our all time favourite winter recipe on our blog this year. Mulled Apple Cider is the perfect drink for those chilly winter evenings, best paired with a chunky knitted jumper, cracking fire and good company. This recipe is a real life hug in a mug, it can even be made non-alcoholic for the whole family to enjoy, simply swap the cider for apple juice.

Mulled Apple Cider
  • 4.5 litres of Apple Cider
  • 1/2 Cup Fresh or Frozen Cranberries
  • 1 Orange, rind only
  • 6 Cinnamon Sticks
  • 3 Star Anise
  • 2 tbsp Maple Syrup
  • 1 tbsp All Spice
  • 1 tbsp Vanilla Extract

For Serving:

  • Orange Slices
  • Apple Slices
  • Cranberries
  • Cinnamon Sticks
  • 1/2 Cup Brandy
  1.  Add all of the ingredients to a large saucepan and bring to a simmer over a medium-high heat. Reduce heat to low and continue to simmer for 45 to 1 hour. 
  2. Pour the cider into your glass or mug, garnish and serve.
