Elvang Baby Alpaca Wool Throw
Immerse yourself in the pure softness of this stunning throw made from 100% sustainably sourced baby alpaca wool. Beautifully soft woven wool, with a simple nude stripe, this gorgeous throw oozes quality and understated style. Alpaca fibres are soft, durable and offer more warmth than other natural fibres. There is no higher quality wool than baby alpaca wool, and you’ll see the absolute minimum pilling which ensures your baby alpaca throw stays soft and looks fresh for much longer than throws of other fibres.
Weaving textiles of alpaca fibres is a Peruvian tradition that can be traced back to the Inca times. Elvang is fair trade certified at the highest possible level within the World Fair Trade Organization (WFTO) as Guaranteed Member. This guarantees that the throw is woven under responsible conditions for both the environment, humans and animals.
The lines design radiates classic elegance and the throw is finished to an extremely high standard with a fine fringed edge.

Why We Love Elvang
Elvang’s roots are steeped in adventure, a love of animals and a commitment to responsible sourcing and production.
Following a backpacking trip to Peru in 2002, the company founders found it hard to let go of the vast traditions of Peruvian culture that they had experienced, not to mention the alpaca and its extremely soft wool – considered one of the finest fibres in the world. The quality and craftsmanship of the products they discovered on their trip, had been honed through centuries and were unrivalled in any other country. One year later, Elvang the company was born in Denmark, introducing the softest alpaca wool throws to Scandinavia.
Elvang’s dedication to quality shines through in their perfect mix of Scandinavian aesthetics and Peruvian craftsmanship, a winning combination that is clean and elegant, with a sophisticated look in luxury quality. And it is not just quality that is close to the hearts of Elvang’s founders, but also ethical sourcing and working practices. They believe it is essential to make sustainable and responsible choices, securing proper conditions throughout their supply chain: from the alpaca shepherd’s pay to employee benefits at the local Peruvian weaving factory, the transportation of our goods and recycling packaging from our supplier as well as gift boxes made from recycled cardboard. They are also Fair Trade certified on the highest level with the World Fair Trade Organization (WFTO) as one of the only companies in Denmark.
Elvang is built on a foundation of ethics, integrity and respect – for their surroundings, the people they work with and the designs they make.
