Why We Love Artsy Doormats
A fellow Lancastrian company, based in the heart of Lancashire, Artsy are a company we are proud to stock. Their roots are firmly planted in the sustainability of the brand and they have a personal touch in everything they do. From hand spraying their doormats to sourcing the perfect materials, attention to detail is key for Artsy. We began stocking their lovely Doormats after searching for a doormat for our own home. After browsing the internet we were pleasantly surprised to find Arsty’s stylish, effective and eco-friendly doormats. We love the fun element of the quippy tag lines, they make for an excellent gift, they even guarantee that you won’t find anything like their products on the market.
One of the main reasons we love Artsy Doormats is the honestly behind their manufacture process. Their doormats are made from natural Coconut Husks, grown in a place called Kerala, Southern India. Each coconut is de-husked by hand for the finest quality, once removed it is soaked in water for a period of time to encourage natural microbial growth, allowing only the raw coir to remain. Next the fibre is spun into fine yarn to make long and strong coir strings that are loaded into the handlooms ready for weaving. The entire process is done by hand to ensure each doormat is the perfect thickness for printing and spraying. The paint that Artsy use is locally sourced and highly durable, meaning you get a doormat that will last for many years. Artsy always recommend to keep your doormat indoors or sheltered outdoors to preserve the design.
