Mason Cash 35cm Mixing Bowl
This Mason Cash 35cm mixing bowl is perfect for baking and mixing. The cane colouring originally came from the natural colour of the local clay in Derbyshire. This has remained the signature colour of Mason Cash products to this day. The mixing bowl is one of the longest standing pieces produced by Mason Cash and today is known as something of a design classic.
Today there is a vast range of sizes of the cane mixing bowl. From this whopping Mason Cash 35cm Mixing bowl, which is perfect for baking bread or large cakes, to the tiny 12cm mixing bowl. Every mixing bowl is made to the same exacting standards Mason Cash always work to. High quality durable earthenware clay, with a gorgeous embossed design on the outside, and beautiful cane glaze.
This mixing bowl is perfect for either professional or home use. The shape is ideal for holding in one arm to beat mixture. The diamond design on the exterior helps provide a good grip. It is also shallow enough to knead dough and the weight of the bowl ensures it will not slide around when mixing or kneading manually. The white interior helps the cook to see the exact colour and consistency of a mixture. This makes it easier to get those perfect results.
Mason Cash are known for their quality products and this is no exception. Chip resistant, microwave, freezer and dishwasher safe, this is the perfect addition to any traditional or modern kitchen.
The Mason Cash Brand
Mason Cash started in the 1800’s in a pottery in Church Gresley, Derbyshire. Church Gresley was close to all the raw materials and fuel sources needed to make ceramics. The excellent transport links also made it easy to transport their goods all over the UK, and even the world.
The pottery produced kitchen items made from ‘white and cane’ glazed earthenware sometimes known as ‘yellow ware’. This was due to the colour of the local clay, but has now become the signature colour of Mason Cash recognised all over the world.
A series of Master Potters ran the pottery, the most colourful of whom was ‘Bossy’ Mason. The ‘Mason’ name was inspired by Bossy in the 1800’s. Tom Cash acquired the pottery in 1901 and renamed the company Mason Cash & Co.
The iconic cane mixing bowl was designed and manufactured in 1901, and the design has barely altered to this day. The design of the bowl has endured the test of time, and become something of a design classic. The white pudding basin was introduced as the partner to the classic cane mixing bowl. This is now another staple Mason Cash product, which is still used in the Royal Household for the Royal Christmas pudding!
Mason Cash have successfully moved with the times and consequently, they always manage to introduce new ranges inspired by current, up to date styles, perfect for the modern or traditional kitchen.
Fans of Mason Cash can now buy a vast range of baking accessories, and oven ware, in addition to the classic mixing bowls and pudding basins. The classic cane mixing bowl is now available in a massive variety of colours to suit any modern kitchen.
