The Mason Cash Bakewell range is inspired by mid-19th century country kitchens of the Derbyshire town bearing the same name. The town is steeped in fine baking traditions, where bakers still make their world famous, iconic puddings and tarts. The range features many beautiful kitchen essentials, all featuring the classic gloss white and powder blue colouring. The Bakewell range features everything from tea, coffee and sugar jars to more innovative products such as an Egg Separator and a handled flower shaker.
The Mason Cash Brand
Mason Cash started in the 1800’s in a pottery in Church Gresley, Derbyshire. Church Gresley was close to all the raw materials and fuel sources needed to make ceramics. The excellent transport links also made it easy to transport their goods all over the UK, and even the world.
The pottery produced kitchen items made from ‘white and cane’ glazed earthenware sometimes known as ‘yellow ware’. This was due to the colour of the local clay, but has now become the signature colour of Mason Cash recognised all over the world.
A series of Master Potters ran the pottery, the most colourful of whom was ‘Bossy’ Mason. The ‘Mason’ name was inspired by Bossy in the 1800’s. Tom Cash acquired the pottery in 1901 and renamed the company Mason Cash & Co.
The iconic cane mixing bowl was designed and manufactured in 1901, and the design has barely altered to this day. The design of the bowl has endured the test of time, and become something of a design classic. The white pudding basin was introduced as the partner to the classic cane mixing bowl. This is now another staple Mason Cash product, which is still used in the Royal Household for the Royal Christmas pudding!

The Baker Lane range by Mason Cash perfectly captured the industrial vibe that is so popular at the moment. The steel grey theme was inspired by the Industrial Revolution. Combined with classic shapes, Baker Lane brings about a fabulous classic meets contemporary look.
The Varsity range is inspired by traditional British University towns and has a wonderfully classy feel to it. Deep blue and cream blend together perfectly while the look is finished off with Varsity’s own university inspired logo.
The new Hacienda range brings a bright, contemporary twist to the classic British brand. A bold steel grey and orange collection inspired by the retro colours of the swinging sixties. This compact range includes ovenware and food preparation accessories and is sure to bring a splash of colour to any kitchen.
Despite the introduction of new contemporary ranges, Mason Cash’s Original Cane range is still hugely popular. These modern additions are a fabulous way to expand on your design classics.
