Mason Cash Innovative Kitchen Slotted Spoon
The Mason Cash Innovative Kitchen Slotted Spoon is the latest from the Mason Cash Innovative Kitchen Spring/Summer collection. The Slotted Spoon is a specially designed 2-in-1 Utensil. The Slotted Spoon is ideal for stirring and draining food in water, sauces or oils. The slots on the spoon head are designed to separate egg whites from yolks. The handle of the Slotted Spoon is embossed with the brand name, a sign of sure quality and expertise. The grooves on the back of the spoon handle allows the spoon to sit on a Mason Cash Mixing Bowl or Pudding Basin, making separating your eggs easy!
The Mason Cash Innovative Kitchen range has been designed to offer multi-functionality and comfort to bakers and chefs. Professional or otherwise. Each one of the beach would tools is designed to aid you in performing multiple tasks with just one utensil. The range features many beautiful kitchen essentials. For instance, the slotted spoon is ideal for stirring and skimming stews or boiled vegetables and doubles up as an egg separator when preparing to bake. The pastry brush is great for basting meat or pastry and has a handy fork on one end to whisk eggs and milk for glazing pastry. It also makes a handy pastry pricker and pastry crimper. Even the stainless steel balloon whisk has a handy reamer on the handle for adding citrus flavours to bakes and dinners.
The Mason Cash Brand
Mason Cash started in the 1800’s in a pottery in Church Gresley, Derbyshire. Church Gresley was close to all the raw materials and fuel sources needed to make ceramics. The excellent transport links also made it easy to transport their goods all over the UK, and even the world.
The pottery produced kitchen items made from ‘white and cane’ glazed earthenware sometimes known as ‘yellow ware’. This was due to the colour of the local clay, but has now become the signature colour of Mason Cash recognised all over the world.
A series of Master Potters ran the pottery, the most colourful of whom was ‘Bossy’ Mason. The ‘Mason’ name was inspired by Bossy in the 1800’s. Tom Cash acquired the pottery in 1901 and renamed the company Mason Cash & Co.
The iconic cane mixing bowl was designed and manufactured in 1901, and the design has barely altered to this day. The design of the bowl has endured the test of time, and become something of a design classic. The white pudding basin was introduced as the partner to the classic cane mixing bowl. This is now another staple Mason Cash product, which is still used in the Royal Household for the Royal Christmas pudding!
