Once lit the light will emit through square patterned walls of the candle holder. This lantern can also be used outside in the garden when the light starts to fade, we would not recommend leaving your lantern outdoors permanently as it is not durable for all weather. There is also a small handle on this lantern to help when moving but also this gives you the option to hang the lantern from a hook.
