Ancient Mariner Reclaimed Pine Fair Isle Round Lamp Table
The three solid angled legs match to the thick circular top perfectly, the country style is carried through the plank design of the top deliberately having gaps in the wood for the worn rustic finish. All the wood is finished in a plain wood finish leaving any imperfections to give this occasional table a style that will easily fit in a country cottage or more modern setting.
Our new Fair Isle collection offers a beautifully crafted collection made from reclaimed pine, the nature of the wood gives this range a wonderful vintage old-world styling which is enhanced by the historic worm holes, splits and irregular marks in the grain. The deliberate distressing used gives you a truly unique piece of furniture with all its history on display. All the timber is carefully assessed and then crafted using traditional woodworking techniques to give the rustic country feel that fits into traditional and modern settings. To complete the whole range, we have curated a collection of accessories with a simple fishing village theme completing the rustic country style. View our furniture range here!

why we love Ancient Mariner
Ancient Mariner Furniture is a family-run business responsible for the manufacture and wholesale of handmade furniture and accessories, personally selected and sourced from around the globe. The journey started in 1945, when their Grandad returned home from WW2. He decided to take his furniture from the front room, put it in the shop window and start trading. They have come a long way since then – the business evolved into a wholesaler 25 years ago and it is currently being run by the 3rd generation of the Ellis family. Their love of travel and exploration took them to Indonesia 25 years ago. It was there that they started working with Indonesian artisan suppliers, eventually forming a network of trusted suppliers.
Ethics: Ancient Mariner has created many jobs for communities in Indonesia. Working closely with local craftsmen and women, their aim is to partner directly with the makers and support traditional ways of life. Ancient Mariner is invested in helping to improve education standards and skills within the local villages they work with, as well as providing steady long-term employment for all of their employees.
Sustainability: As they continue to grow as a company, they are aware of the increasing strain on the environment caused by the depletion of natural resources such as forests and woodlands. With this in mind, all the materials sourced are from government-sanctioned plantations, using only the highest quality recycled Mango, Mahogany and Teak.
