Day Four: Cucumber Coolade

Who doesn’t like a nice cold beverage at the weekend, but those cocktails and mocktails are packed with sugar and empty calories. Delicious but the cliche old phrase ‘a moment on the lips forever on the hips’ really does apply here, alcohol is definitely going to make it tricky to budge that belly fat!

We all have a sweet tooth every now and then, so it’s all about making those smarter choices when it comes to your sweetener. Why not try a healthier option such as stevia? This Cucumber Coolade recipe is definitely one for you to try.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cucumber (de-seeded)
  • 2 tbsp of xylitol or stevia
  • Juice of 1 lime
  • 1/8th tsp salt
  • A handful of ice-cubes
  • 400ml water

Method:

  1. Slice your cucumber.
  2. Add all of the ingredients to a blender & blend!
  3. Serve over extra ice-cubes and enjoy.
