We are super excited to be writing this post, it’s been months (if not years) in the making. Drum roll please..
We have a new look!
No, your eyes do not deceive you. We have refreshed our entire band! Whilst we really did love our old logo and look, we just felt that it wasn’t very ‘us’ anymore.. The old ‘it’s not you, it’s me’ chestnut.
Change is inevitable, especially in our industry. We constantly work on sourcing beautiful new products, training our staff to the best of our ability and many more aspects of the business. So why should we neglect our look? We wanted a more cohesive feel to the website; something warmer and more friendly, a little like ourselves (on a good day).
When Silver Mushroom began many years ago, the focus was on just a few lines of kitchenware. Our logo was great at the time, it was quirky, eye-catching and maybe even a little corporate. This suited us perfectly at the time. As a small start up, we aimed to be as completely and utterly seamless, professional and slick as possible. In short, we wanted to be like the big dogs.
We soon realised that this just wasn’t us. We aren’t faceless, monochrome or particularly ‘corporate’ most days. We are friendly, warm, excitable sisters that are passionate about our business and what it represents.
This realisation was the seed that sparked our big refresh. We wanted our website to feel more full of life and recognisable. Whilst remaining professional and easy to use. So, just how did we do that we hear you ask?
Well, for starters we drew around 10,000 different mushrooms, with the help of our designer. Let us tell you, nothing sparks a debate quicker than a mushroom sketch. After a great deal of meetings, we found ‘our’ mushroom and her sister font. The next step was colour. This was a huge change for us as we have had a monochrome website for the last 10 years. We decided upon a handful of colours that sparked joy for us. A warm, bubbly looking shade of pink, that classic cottage green and a soothing neutral beige shade.
We made lots more changed to the way you will navigate our website, but we won’t bore you with the details. We’d rather you simply experienced it for yourself whilst browsing our virtual store.
It’s still us. We’re still Silver Mushroom. But more consistent, recognisable and ‘us’. We hope you love the changes as much as we do. Please leave your thoughts in the comments section below- we’d love to know what you think of our new look!
