Whipped Matcha Latte

When the sun is shining there is no better way to start the day than with a refreshing, chilled beverage. If you’re a fan of Matcha Tea then we promise you will love this recipe. It’s a deliciously light, whipped version of the antioxidant rich green tea powder drink.

It’s said that Matcha has 15 times the antioxidants of a standard green tea, meaning a boat load of health benefits. These include improved brain and liver function, a healthier heart and it can even prevent cancers. In short, it’s really, really great for you.

This creamy, healthy Matcha latte is inspired by the recent trend of Dalonga coffee, where the topping is whipped into cloud like peaks and dolloped on top of chilled, creamy milk.

We made this Whipped Matcha Latte in our brand new Zera Glasses, their unique shape is perfect for indulging in a tasty and aesthetic drink. You can shop the glasses here

Ingredients:

  • 2 tbsp Matcha Powder
  • 120ml Double Cream
  • 3 tbsp Granulated Sugar
  • 400ml Milk

Instructions:

  1. In a medium bowl, mix together the Matcha powder and 6 tbsp of the cream. Mix thoroughly until no lumps remain and you have a smooth paste.
  2. Add the rest of the cream and the sugar to the mixture. Using your SMEG hand mixer whip the mixture into fluffy peaks.
  3. Fill your Zera glasses half way with a few cubes of ice and chilled milk. Spoon the whipped matcha cream on top of the milk to create the Dalonga effect.

Be sure to mix together the cream and milk before drinking. We hope you enjoy this delicious Matcha Latte. Be sure to let us know if you make this recipe in the comments below or by tagging us on our socials.
